Located in the southern region of the island of Sri Lanka, Udawalawe is a well-known national park. The park, which has a total area of about 30,821 hectares, is most renowned for the abundance of Asian elephants that live there. Visitors can go on safari tours to see elephants and other animals like crocodiles, wild buffalo, and sambar deer.
